PO comments from Sales order, v8.03

You can only purchase to 1. Inventory 2. A Job 3. Subcontract or 4. Other.

You cannot directly purchase to a Order.

Even in Requisition Entry you can only request to a Job or Other.

Do you create jobs for your orders? To my knowledge you can append
comments to Job, which will then to go PO's. I don't think you can go
directly from SO to PO.

I've been asked by our sales department if it is possible to have
comments they enter (in order entry, somewhere), show up on
related PO for parts to fulfill that sale order. I was wondering
if anyone has done this or something similar. It seems a little
complicated because there is no direct relationship between an
order and a PO, but I thought it was worth asking the all
powerful user group.
