I have a part that only gets demand if we get a service order for it. We have set the MOH to qty 2. When I get below 2 I get a PO Suggestion for a date in the past. This suggestion will not go away until the part is received in. IS there anything to stop this from occurring?
Your lead time is 20 days and your PO is futher out than 20 days.
If you locked the qty and dates on the PO 367021 / 3 / 1, then MRP will see that there’s still enough time to bring in a minimum of 10 units to get you above the minimum 2 stock.
If you havent locked the qty/dates on the PO 367021, then your buyers will likely have change suggestions in their buyer workbench.
I think my issue was due to my planning time fence after testing this out.
I changed the due date at 4/21 and the suggestion stayed, but changed my planning time fence to 30 and the Suggestion went away. It was set at 20 days.
I don’t fully understand how all this makes sense though.
If the suggestion was for 3/26 and I change the date to 4/21. That is within the 20 day window for lead time and the planning time fence. Why was it still kicking out a suggestion?
