PO Suggestions

I have set up everything to run for MRP on the PO side, but when i run the PO suggestions, im no getting anything? Where do I go to see the results ?

You will see them in New PO Suggestions program. Eventually in Time Phase.

I still not seeing anything in PO Suggestions, I have bumped all qty to make sure it picks up the demand. but I run MRP and then go to Change PO Suggestions and nothing is showing up. all parts have a 0 on hand and I have cleared out all po’s to make it create new ones

  1. Do you run MRP?
  2. Do you run PO suggestions separately? (You don’t need to if you run MRP. But you can.)
  3. If you don’t have logging turned on, you should. MRP has logging as do PO suggestions.
  4. If/when you turn on logs, what do you see? Just pick a single part that you think should work.

Also, this sounds like you may be prepping for a go-live?

This may sound like a smug comment… but double check you have your parts set up with the “Generate Suggestions” checkboxes checked.

I was just doing some testing in our 3rd environment, which hasn’t been updated in ages, and after generating suggestions half a dozen times with no suggestions… it hit me to double check my test part and wouldn’t you know it… the part I was using wasn’t set up for it.

One other thing that has tripped me up several times… are you an authorized user on the buyer ID for those suggestions?
