Printing Groups of AR Invoices at one time

It looks like the p2bxbse.dll is the issue. replaced it on the workstation
and the canned reports print just fine now. My custom one still doesn't
work, but it is nothing more than a little moving of fields and adding the
company logo. At least now I have a working report to start with.

This sounded familiar so I did a search of past messages. It seems many of
the Crystal forms can experience this. Copied below is one repsonse from
early January. I also recall mention in other messages of being on IE 6.0
and experimenting with printer driver. You could always open the .DBF in a
spreadsheet and verify that the data is there to rule that side out.

I also had this problem on PO and SO forms. The release info wouldn't print
for any lines but the first. Vantage support had me copy the p2bxbse.dll
file from the epic52\vantage\dll folder on my Vantage server to the
Winnt\Crystal folder on my workstation. Problem went away.

thought is was just our custom crystal report and a bad link or something
and lived with printing all invoices one at a time. Now that we are on 5.2,
management is after me to get it working.

If I try to print an entire group of Invoices using our custom report, only
the first one prints but there is no bill to or ship to information and the
totals are all blank.

Thinking that's fine, I'll just redesign Epicor's report to look like our
custom one, I switched the default report to Epicor's canned crystal ARFORM
(this has not been altered at all, I even restored it from a fresh install
of Vantage 5.2). Before touching anything, I reprinted the AR Group using
Epicor's canned crystal ARFORM. This time I got all the invoices to come
out, but wait..... after the first one, all the following ones have no line
item details. So no sense in me trying to redesign the layout of this since
it appears that Epicor's version doesn't work either.

I switched now to the canned Progress report and reran the group. This
works. All invoices are printed and all information is shown and correct.
But this is not the answer we are looking for. I need to get the crystal
version working with printing AR Groups.

Is this a bug with Vantage? Has anyone else seen this problem, if so, is
there already an incident number with Epicor?

As Todd mentioned, that type of behaviour in Crystal reports can happen
when the Vantage dll is for Crystal 8.0, but the machine doing the
development is using 8.5. (This was the problem for Vantage 5.1 or earlier,
which required Crystal 8.0). Perhaps on Vantage 5.2 there is a similar
conflict in dll's if the machine you are developing is using has Crystal 8.0
rather than the required 8.5. I found that the problem of the lines
disappearing on subsequent pages did not happen on machines that did not
have Crystal Designer installed on them. You might try a quick test to see
if you can print the group of invoices from a machine that does not contain
Crystal Designer.
