I know it is possible in crystal and pretty sure in report builder. You
have to create a formula.

Crystal or RB?
In Crystal most of the Vantage created .dbf files have a Username field which show who created the .dbf file.

In RB it is more complicated and involves some convoluted linking of obscure tables. It can be done but is very difficult to retrofit to an existing report because one of the tables must be the "master table" for the report. If you start with it and build the report from there down it works pretty well.

Basically you start with the table _MyConnection linked to Connect and then Connect linked to UserFile:
_MyConnection ----> Connect
_MyCon-PID to _Connect-PID

Connect-----> Userfile
_Connect-Name to DcdUserID

Then UserFile company (CurComp field) to link to whatever the rest of your table structure needs to be.
I suppose this might work for Crystal with ODBC if no .dbf file is available but I've never tried it.
