Printing Seperate forms

Another way is to make two quote forms. One for each plant, and then a
master quote form that is blank except for two footers. Footer A is
Subreport 1 - quote plant A, footer B is Subreport 2 - quote plant B.
On the master quote form, prompt the user with a parameter field for
which plant they need a quote and then suppress the footer section that
isn't needed.

This is a work around for the ceasar development multiform until you get
to version 8 of vantage.

Calvin

Subject: [Vantage] Printing Seperate forms

Hi there. We have two separate factories at different addresses. We only
use one Plant location in Vantage, as we saw no need to set up another
plant for a closely linked company. The only problem we are having, is
that when we send a quote out from the secondary factory, the contact
details are for the primary factory. What is the best way to customise
the address, phone number and email to appear for the secondary factory
when required. Do we need to make a second quote form for that factory,
and if so what is the best way to select that second form when it is
required?

Thanks in advance.
Stuart

One way to do it is to edit the Crystal form. Add both addresses, one on top
of the other. Set a conditional format under the suppress button for each
address/contact line.

You can use an IF statement so that if a specific user prints the report it
will hide one address and show the other.

Example: (This would go into the "Suppress" option box)

If {quotehed.rptuserid} In ["jmorris", "mjackson"]Then
false
else
true

If the user is in the list, then it will NOT suppress the address.

The only downside to this method is that you have to maintain the list of
users who print the quote form from each plant.

Hope that helps,
Jeremy
