Hi all,
We have recently gone live and are wanting to customise the standard PO form. Is there a repository of shared purchase order form templates that could be reviewed and used as a starting point?
Or if people like their forms and are willing to share them that would be great!
We find our current form takes up a lot of space so are looking to make something more compact.
I do not know of any repository where there are customized forms, maybe someone else knows of one.
I do think it would be difficult to use if one exists as a lot of custom forms are very specific to a company and the RDD would probably have to be included. Did someone at your company get trained on SSRS? I think your best bet is to have someone just dive in and edit it.
Epicor do in fact have a preprinted forms service. Sign In ( You will need your Epicweb username and password to login here) but the main detail is below.
Business Forms
Epicor Business Forms provides a full line of laser and continuous preprinted checks, business forms, tax documents, business cards, stationery and more. All forms can be tailored to your needs and are guaranteed compatible with Epicor Express. For more information visit http://epicor.eprintline.com or call (888)257-4476.
These pre-printed forms work with the standard SSRS report layouts out of the box. I have never seen them or used them. That’s my understanding anyway.
If you go down this route I’d be interested to hear how it goes.
EDIT: I ran that URL and surprise surprise it does not work! Perhaps @timshuwy could shed some light on that… Does this service even exist any more?
That one I don’t recognize, but in the old days Altec used to make pre-printed forms for Epicor. I know people have used their checks since they work without modification. I believe they also used to sell canned versions of the report files they had modified themselves. https://www.altecproductsinc.com/software-integrations
I stumbled across this yesterday looking for something completely unrelated. I have not used them nor do I know anything more about their offering other than it exists (on the web site at least). https://www.minisoft.com/eformz/
Most people just start with the base forms and change what they don’t like/feel is missing.
Ah… Good old Doclink… That was a pretty set and forget product once you got it up and going… That is, set it up and then forgot how you did it when things went wrong as it was such a long time between problems…
Fun fact 320 Standard report id in 2024.2 excluding any CSF related reports.
With a total of 340 system report styles, excluding any CSF related ones ???
The difference being where the reportid has been added to the system, but no report styles have, possibly due to a module containing reports needs to have them created from a vertical install…A good example would be Senior Living Solution (SLS) and a lot of the reports with no styles indicate this.
Embarking an a project to work through this list and try and achieve std output for these reports. I am sure there is going to be a learning curve on some of these.
Thanks John, it just seems a shame that for the thousands of companies using Epicor it comes with one standard PO form and everyone is expected to train up on SSRS. Being able to quickly put in your company headers is one thing, but having to build up a new form is quite a task.
