Purely hypothetical question

What would happen if someone accidentally clicked the wrong UD field and deleted something that’s in use, and then, you know, just recreated it real quick like?

Would things get weird the next time that person regens the data model?

If you did not regen then as long as you named it exactly the same it and have the same field type and label and all the other stuff the model shouldn’t notice. But you know maybe test it in Pilot or… rather have your friend test t in pilot.

Jose is correct, if you haven’t done a Regen then just putting it back will be ok.

I just did some tests on 2024.1 and it works.

added a field with a default value

added another field because you can’t delete the last UD column (you get an error message)

Deleted the column, Then added it back

I actually closed the UD screen down and added the field back using paste insert, but the copy data had no SysrowID or Sysrevid in it.

Hope that helps your friend.
