Unfortunately, this does not seem possible.. Although I really wish it were!
Our first operation on our job has the same start and due date.
We want there to be two days between start and finish on the first op without adding labor to the job. This would basically just be ‘idle’ time, the amount of time the job sits in that operation before being started.
Is this possible at all within Epicor? To add some sort of queue time to the first operation?
I think it’s on the Resource. There’s queue time and move time iirc.
for the first operation, we already have a “production prep buffer” which is used for extra time at the start of the job

Yes, they are there but queue time does not work on the first operation and move time did not accomplish what we are looking for either.
Thanks Tim. I played around with this as well, but it does not seem to change the start date on the job or the operation. Both dates stay the same.. Am I missing something?
I just tested again, and the job looked like this -
Then I ran MRP after changing the ‘production prep buffer’ to 2days at the part level and it still looks exactly the same.
