Quote Contact

That really interesting... One of the Sales guys came to me and described
this problem. He only had random trouble with it when he added the contact
using the PEOPLE tab after already selected the header information. Gee
whiz.
Some days, I wish Epicor would post a list of known issues. Its kind of
irritating to found this stuff out through the grapevine. Though the rest
of the wine :) is so good.

Mike,

We haven't worried about the address as much as having the correct
contact name print on the quote form. This is a known bug in 5.2, it
seems
to choose a random contact name from the main customer list, even though
they are not specified on the quote. Epicor sent us a workaround that
doesn't really work - we have found that the only way is to have the
contact
listed in the main customer contact list, and make sure to choose them
from
that list when adding to the people section of the quote (even if they are
on an alternate ship to entry for that customer). Feel free to contact me
if you need more info.

Vantage (were on 5.2) enables you to designate a customer contact with a
special address for quoting. However, in quotes we've done only the
Customer Master address (not the special quote address) will print on
the
quote form. Has anyone else had this problem and if so how have you
corrected? I suppose you could customize the Crystal quote form to force
the
quote address to print but my users really want to see it on the screen.
