Check to see if your parking is comped though… In vegas it was when I told them I was there for a conference. Epicor paid for my parking.

@Craig

Will one need a car most likely? I was planning to Uber from the airport and Uber back even though I really hate doing that by myself …but I didn’t want to go crazy with the charges.

No, you can stay on the property the whole time. There is enough restaurants and everything where you wouldn’t need to leave the property at all. And even if you do, chances are it’s to go downtown where you don’t want to be driving back either. So I wouldn’t recommend getting a car.

They usually have a shuttle you don’t need to uber. (to from the airport)

The property is massive there is zero need to leave it if you don’t want to.

Also know that the shuttle from the airport costs almost as much as a cab. So I usually go for the cab. It’s worth the extra $5.

I only brought up the parking for the O.P. who asked if they have parking because he was going to drive to the conference.

As others have stated, no need for a car.

If you are not staying onsite and have a car you can park on the Grand Ole Opry side for free and it is just as close as the paid parking. Took me three days to figure that out the first year I drove.

Wish I would have known that before I bought my plane ticket…oh well :woman_shrugging:

@gpayne

That is assuming they have not closed the loophole.

So this will be my 2nd Insights, and while my responsibilities are quite as broad as yours at my company, I am the Epicor guy. So with that in mind the first thing I’d recommend is picking up the lab book right away. It’s like $30 and will have a lot of the various labs you couldn’t attend but wanted to. Also you can download almost EVERY session’s slides and I recommend that as well.

I found it particularly useful to do the customer led sessions because they were filled with problems that had solutions that I could file away for the future.

And yes, make sure you have very comfortable shoes, it’s going to be a grueling 3 days of walking. In Vegas I hit 75k in steps over the course of my time there, and I never left the hotel / convention center.

Thanks Joel! I’m thinking sneakers might be the plan!

My advice, don’t over indulge…Particularly if you come from another part of the world…Jet lag at conferences can be a killer. Isn’t that right @Randy :). That’s me talking from experience.

I am going for the first time this year also. My boss (who retired) sniped the trip to Vegas last year. :slight_smile: I broke the schedule down into time slots and tried to pick my biggest problem area to focus on at that time. I also consulted with other power users to see if they had anything that they wanted me to attend for them and then worked out how to try to mesh them together. I am the main technical support/customizations person in the company and I also have to know what everyone is doing too, so I feel your pain.

So…the info says the dress is “business casual” …around here business casual is jeans. Please someone tell me I don’t have to wear something fancier than that every day…cause they go best with the sneakers and all… :wink:

Jeans will be fine @WendyB as someone else mentioned they keep the rooms cold so I would say bring a light jacket or something to help if you get the chills.
