Report Builder

Link JobHead to LaborDtl
Sort & Group on JobHead.JobNo, then laborDtl.PayrollDate
The last labor detail record will then have the last labor and operation
sequence.

I am trying to write a report that will give me just the last
operation of a job that was clocked into. Something like:

Part Number Job Number Last Operation Worked

Any help would be appreciated.

We no longer allow attachments to files. To access/share Report Files,
please go to the following link: http://www.egroups.com/files/vantage/
(Note: If this link does not work for you the first time you try it, go to
www.egroups.com, login and be sure to save your password, choose My Groups,
choose Vantage, then choose Files. If you save the password, the link above
will work the next time you try it.)
Amy,

Good question ... It would be nice ...

Don't have a clue as to how you might be able to do it ...

You could hand-create an Access Database and keep track of it manually but
that seems redundant as hell these days.

You can use report writer to print the contents of CUSTRPT table which would
list all of the reports you have directly added to Vantage. Better then
nothing but not what you asked for.

Good luck,

Todd Anderson

Is there any way to print a listing of all the reports in a report library?
Thanks.

This is easily done through a simple progress routine. I haven't really
done anything with the program because my long term goal is to enable it to
change all the settings in each report (host, server, etc.). This way when
we upgrade or change something, we won't need to go into report builder for
all 300+ reports and change them all manually. If people are interested in
the first part (what you are asking for, a list of all reports in a
library), I can release what I have so far to my web site for download.

If all of your reports are entered in the Vantage/Master File/Custom Report
Link you can create a report builder report on the CUSTRPT table.

My guess is their are two orddtl records. Don't sort or group the report and
print all the obvious stuff like JobNum, Order Number, Order Line Number,
Order Detail Line number and see what's doubling. Maybe one of the joins is
not perfect. When you find what's doubling then you can sort and group to
fix it.

I know I read before how to do this and thought I had saved it, but alas I
can't come up with it. We are trying to add the Customer name to a report
that is compiled from JobOper and JobAsmbl tables. We linked to the JobHead
table then to the OrdDtl to the OrdHead to the Customer. This gives us the
company name but it also duplicates each line of the report. What am I
doing wrong. We tried left outer joins but got the same results.
You need to go through the JobProd table. This table links the Job to the
Order release line.
