Reprint PCID Labels

Anyone using PCIDs know if it’s possible to reprint the PCID labels through bartender? There doesn’t appear to be a reprint option anywhere.

Thanks in advance

You should be able to re-print via the Bartender software. As long as you haven’t removed the file on the FTP site.

Good point. But there is no way to regenerate the bartender file through the standard interface?

Not as far as I have found.

PCID labels (or any labels via Bartender it seems) circumvent the "normal’ process and send the file to the FTP site then refers to the label in the Bartender software.

As the final step, the completed file is set to the appropriate printer. Unfortunately, it seems there is no info within the Epicor db to reprint via the UI.

I think you’re right. It’s a shame though. We are handling ~15k pallets a month (total in and out) and I’m sure that needing to reproduce a label will be a daily (or more) event. It’d be nice to have an easy way through the standard interface to do this and not have to setup some janky way, copying a .bt file from the print history back into the bartender folder.

  1. Navigate to Material Management and expand Advanced Material Management
  2. Open General Operations and click on Package Control ID
  3. Click the PCIDs button and search or manually enter the PCID you want to reprint
  4. Click on File and then Print
  5. Click on File and then Print again

Thank you for that… so simple I can’t believe I didn’t see it. Kind of embarrassing :flushed:

Honestly, I couldn’t find it either. I was watching this thread and found the article when looking for some other PCID info in EpicCare.

Yeah. We almost need to setup a thread just with findings about PCID. Given the functionality is new and still evolving, these seem to be a number of gotchas. Have you implemented PCIDs yet?

I must agree there is a VERY large list of gotchas when dealing with PCID

  1. Can’t use if you are inspecting parts on incoming (re: No PCID assignment in Receipt Entry)
  2. PCID functionality does NOT exist in Container Receipt Entry
  3. You cannot ship a PCID with mixed Sales Orders on it even if going to same ship to!
    etc., etc., etc.

We do this all the time. Every once in a while an OTS slips through that causes us issues…

I should have been a little clearly, if you have a nested PCID with multiple SOs with same ship to it is stopped hard!

Also, you can’t add a PCID to another PCID in Build/Split/Merge if one of the PCIDs is in PICKED status. So if you would pick an order into multiple containers then you want to add them to a skid or larger box/container. You can’t.
