RMA Receipt error

Hello,
I get an error message (Unexpected error - see appserver logs.) each time I try to do a receipt into RMA Processing. I called Epicor support and they had me send my log file to them. They say it is a BPM that is the problem. I don’t have a BPM for RMA Processing. Below is the portion of the log file where it says “A valid Warehouse is required”. I think I did at one time have a BPM that would check to make sure the bin location was correct. I don’t see anymore. A little back ground history, our server crashed about last August and it looks like RMA receipt hasn’t worked since then.

The .P for your BPM is likely still in place since your server crashed. You can re-name the BPM folder temporarily to to confirm, if this is the case you need to remove the .P file that pertains to that business object.

Thanks for you quick response. I renamed the BPM folder and tried it again and still got the error. I was using my training database. Doesn’t it use the same BPM folder? Did I need to stop and restart my appservers first?

No each DB uses it’s own BPM folder. You need to rename the right one. and yes resart your appservers.
I don’t have an 8.x instance to figure out the exact Path that needs to be renamed. @aidacra can you throw us a bone? Which folder / file can she rename to turn off BPMs in 8?
I’ can dig up my 8 server but I am offsite this week

The folder is BPMExec -> (Instance) -> BO may be slightly different in Vantage 8

All appservers for live, pilot, test, and training by default point to mfgsys803\bpm so if that folder is renamed then BPMs shouldn’t be triggered in any database.

Did you happen to enable the AMM module recently?

No, I don’t have AMM module.

Nathan,

I renamed my folder mfgsys803\bpm and tried to do a receipt entry again. I got the same error message. Below is my log file and I think this is where the error is happening. Where it says “A valid Warehouse is required.” and I know it is a valid warehouse. Epicor says it is a BPM causing the problem and they can’t help me. Any suggestions?

Jose,

Nathan Anderson form Epicor left me a message on my phone about this problem I’m having. He said you informed him about it and he was going to send me an email to setup a time for webex session. I never got the email, so I don’t have his contact information. Would you be able to contact him again for me?

All,

It ended up not being my problem after all. I called my CAM agent and he escalated the call and come to find out there was a SCR 100127 fix where I downloaded a new RMAProc.r to copy to my Server\bo folder.
