Running Multiple Task Agents Causing Performance Issues?

Hello everyone,

It seems to be indicated in this post:

that running multiple task agents is not only viable, but in some cases recommended.

I would like to install the task agent service on two additional servers so we have 3 running. I was advised against this by an Epicor installer. He said running multiple task agents on separate servers can cause latency and other performance issues.

Is there a way to run multiple task agents simultaneously in such a way that I will not create performance issues? I would very much like to have some redundancy as well as share the workload of processing across 3 severs instead of running everything from a single task agent server.

EDIT:

Not sure what they meant. I run 3 on 3 separate servers, no issues here.

Definitely run Task Agent on multiple servers (maximum of 3). https://www.epiusers.help/t/epicor-erp-10-1-task-agent-configuration-implementation-options/38378

Thank you both for taking the time to respond. I thought he may have misunderstood something, but I didn’t want to go against an Epicor installer without at least looking into it.

is it possible to share the worload ? is it recommanded ?
