Is it correct behavior? No.
Does it surprise me? No.
Epicor's claims of the latest and greatest technology as a marketing plus failed ot include the little fact that most of their code is particulalry NOT object oriented - so extremely similar apps do NOT behave the same.

Within the Engineering Workbench, we are putting scrap percentages on the
Material records in our multi-level assemblies. If we create a
Make-to-Stock job for this part, the scrap percentages are used to generate
increased requirements at the lower level assemblies. This is good.
However, take that same part, and attached it to a Sales Order. Create the
job with the Order Job Wizard or MRP, and the lower level requirements for
Scrap are NOT created. The system appears to disregard the scrap
percentages we entered. This is bad!
I cannot understand this. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a
solution?
