I have a shared BAQ which runs perfectly for some users and gives the error message “no records returned” for others. Help please
Does it involve sales and/or territories?
It is a simple AR invoice list.
I’ve ran into something similar before when dealing with territory and workforce. For the user that is unable to see, do they have a workforce record? If so are they an authorized user for the other people in there? Can you provide more details on the tables in the BAQ?
The query uses the tables InvHead, Customer, and Terms
It appears there is only one territory available for all customers “United States”. Our company is not using the sales force options in e10.
The users that cannot run the BAQ are managers of the users that can run the query.
Do the managers or users have a record in “Work Force”? If so, are the managers authorized users for the people that can see the results?
Only the 2 managers who are unable to run the query have a record in “Work Force”. The users that I know have run the query are not in “Work Force”. Shouldn’t everyone in the company be able to run a shared query?
Okay so I recall what was happening in my scenario now.
Check the Sales Territory module and go to the “Salespersons” tab confirm who the Salesperson is for USA.
Go to Work Force, make the two managers an authorized user for the Salesperson of the USA territory.
That worked! Thank you so much, Fernando!
Awesome! Glad to hear, sorry about the back and forth, it took me a while to remember the exact issue I ran into a few months back. Please mark as solved for future users. Thanks!
