So many bugs with grouping in 2025.2.10

The sum starts out as the correct value and then decides to be evil instead… one thing after another this week.

Yeah the grouping and summing is all kinds of messed up!
Edit: I actually dont see whats wrong in your little 2 second video. the totals look correct at the bottom and in the row. What did I miss?

I can tell this issue is going to be hard to show support. Can’t attach videos to a case, and its way too fast for a laggy screen share to pick up

Turn on tracing and give them log.

Out of interest what happens if you clear the filter? The grid shows the name with a capital P then drops to a lowercase p which could be something is being case sensitive when it sholdnt be.

2025.2 Also has a new Grid you can turn on / odd in advanced features. Maybe something about that is causing the issue?

Grouping has been broken in grids since day 1

We’re seeing this too. I’ve not been able to trigger it after deleting the personalization and rebuilding it.

I believe you can Ani-GIFs if it’s not too long. If you can reliably trigger it get them on a Teams/Zoom call.

Its better than in 2023 but a shadow of what it was in Classic. We have had to basically move on from using Fulfilment Workbench as that is basically a masterclass in needing grids to work efficiently.

Its really draining to be the guy shoving this shit in my users faces and telling them they have to use it.

Agreed, Epicor is making it very hard to be an advocate for Kinetic UI.

They really should have taken the “boring edition” Idea and do a full release of just getting Kinetic UI bugs fixed before killing Classic. But what do us customers know?! :man_shrugging:

I’ve only recently started in ERP (2022), but hot damn am I tired of apologizing for Epicor.

I have no personalization for this screen so I can’t even delete it. I’ve tried publishing.

CAM says we could have tested. Well we don’t have the bandwidth to test small updates and I sort of doubt they would have postponed the update based on our issues. We will have to suffer with continuous deployment without the rest of DevOps. No testing, no staggered rollout, no ability to roll back if the update is broken :face_vomiting:

We’ve not found a way to get grouping built into the base layer. We have to make our users setup the grouping. Setting up the summaries now works for the base layer though.

I see we’re at the “Blame the customer” stage. :dumpster_fire:

  1. The notifications literally state testing is not required on dot releases
  2. Even when customers have tested and reported critical issues (much more critical than this), Epicor has not delayed the release or fixed the bugs prior to updating production, so what good would it have done?

They wouldn’t have. They can’t move dates around for every small bug for other real reasons like customers need to be able to plan for updates.

But you bring up a VERY REAL issue with the cloud upgrade train, in that once you’re on, you can never get off, it doesn’t matter what’s broken you just have to hope like hell you you can find a workaround before your company crashes.

I turned them all that off when I started having issues on this update. It made no difference, which I expected as none of my users have preview features turned on.

It just returns to the same appearance as before the group was added. You can repeat the little magic show as many times as you want.

CMP already has the ability to do updates. . . Maybe they should let users pick the timing for all minor updates and the only deadline they have is they can’t get x months behind.

then they would lose all that sweet sweet flex revenue.

Thank you for noting that sums can now be set at the layer, gonna go back and update some DBs. PIA that you can’t do grouping in the layer. Had a recent DB deployment that pretty much everyone in the company uses and we had to login or connect as each individual user and setup the grouping and sums for them. Sucked.

If you are willing to edit the json by hand you can add grouping to a layer
