SSRS Folder is Empty

When I log into the SSRS I can see our various Epicor environments listed:

When I drill down into EpicorERP, EpicorERPDemo, or EpicorERPPilot, I see a message stating “This folder is empty.”

When I open up EpicorERPTest, I see the Reports folder:

All permissions are set on the root level, and I am set up with all roles:

The EpicorERPTest folder is exactly the same as the other 3 Epicor environment folders (in regards to security) so I am at a loss of where else I need to look. Just for grins-n-giggles, I added my account to the users for the ReportServer and EpicorERPReports databases, which made no difference either.

Thoughts? This is the only SSRS instance we have, so it is no like the reports are stored elsewhere.

Do your reports print from Epicor?

I don’t have a printer set up on my workstation to actually print with yet, but they Preview just fine, yes.

Try right click Run as Administrator when opening report builder

Do the security roles align with the function of read/write?

This isn’t a Report Builder issue. This is an issue browsing the SSRS Portal.

This is how it is set up for me, and for others that are able to view the report folder structure:

Those permissions are propagated from the root, through the entire folder tree.

I forgot how it was worded… but I revisited this because it got me once before. This is what I was referring to in Site Settings > Security.

@jhecker Hierarchically, those security settings apply at the folder level too. If for some reason they are unchecked on that specific folder, you might not see anything. Try clicking Manage and Security on the EpicorERP folder.

Both boxes are checked there as well. (also tried it with just one or the other, no difference)

Like I said, all permissions are set at the root level and are inherited to all child items:

Got it!

It boiled down to a slow AD sync between our location here in the US, our main offices in France, and Azure AD (where SSRS is hosted at).

I’ve taken it as far as I can haha. I’m interested to see what is going on.
