Stop calculating depreciation

We have a few assets that we don’t want to depreciate anymore. They depreciated for the past 10 months, but we’re changing our accounting policy around certain asset classes.

Either way, I told Accounting to uncheck the ‘Depreciate’ checkbox in the Asset setup and that should stop it from depreciating going forward periods.

They did this, and ran depreciation for Nov, but the calculation went back and created a reversal entry for the past 10 months worth of depreciation.

Is that what you’d expect to happen? Or is there a different way to keep the past 10 months and stop calculating for the rest of the year?
