Suggestion for Sales Order?

Good Morning All, Happy Friday !!

a User reported this morning… Sales Order did not create a U job(s) ,
Nightly regen ran, no errors
Days of Supply 7 days, Thought it was that. Changed to 1 day and regened on just that part . Good, created U job.
Went to next Part, Changed nothing, regen on single part and created log file. ( I know I did it backwards, should have logged first…) … Mmmm Job created. I am stumped on how regening 1 at a time created job and nightly MRP
On the parts that did not create jobs and I did nothing with, there is this in Time Phase.

Where do you see … Suggestions for SO ( yes that is the sales Order that didn’t create jobs) .

I know about Suggestions for Jobs … Arggg, I just answered my own question… Planning Workbench…These are the Descriptions regarding the Sales Order in question

Still have the question… WHY didnt they create through MRP ??

For now I can have Planner look at this ( Daily, Weekly ?? ) . The Company is 95 % Make to Order so I never considered this as an asset. Figured Epicor will create jobs when needed.

Has anyone seen conditions that would trigger this ??

Thanks and enjoy the Weekend when you get to it.

Dean

Check the release for the part and see if it is marked Make Direct.

Checked, literally

Is the Revision approved?

Revision is approved.

What I find perplexing is that if it can give a suggestion to create a job ( and you run MRP) and a job is created. the setup should be ok… Nightly run MRP parameters different ??. I use to know how to check in classic. How to check in Kinetic ??

Is it set up in a Process Set? If not, I usually run a query against one of the systask tables.

Check the part record and make sure it isn’t Purchased or that the MRP flag is not on.

Are you multi site by any chance? And do you have alternate methods?

I just saw this yesterday where I needed unfirm jobs to be created in another site, and I didn’t set the default alternate method, so it wouldn’t do it.

Here is something odd… Mfg Part with Generate PO Suggestions…

That’s normal. If you ever have subcontract operations, you’ll need that on.

As @Banderson said, check that the Release is set for the correct Site.

Only 1 site

To clarify, Multi Company. Each company has 1 site

Not that this holds any bearing… but why does your balance never change in your Time Phase image?

Part is Make Direct, Never hits Inventory. Transaction is Mfg to Customer when it ships

Back to the topic at hand…
Is Epicor Support the next stop ?? Not sure I can re-create in pilot as its 2025.1, Production on 2024.2. Need to get it going by Monday, shipment is next Thursday…

You could just manually create the job and link it to the sales order.
