Supplier Report Cards

Carey,

Thanks for your input. After looking at the supplier part of the system I figured I may have some problems with doing the report card automatically but thought I would see how others are doing this task. I was hoping to avoid starting from scratch and it sounds like you have a process that works relatively well for you. I was hoping to be able to give a supplier a rating automatically based on criteria we established on delivery time, PPM, response time, etc. without major intervention. I guess the system is not that robust at this time.

Thanks for the help.

Brad

Brad,
We have shopvision included with out v8 install.
Shopvision supplies some multi-deminsional analysis in pre-built cubes.
The process here, like most other things in Vantage is not exactly
intuitive....However, do it once and it makes more sense.

One of the cubes is supplier performance. It captures delivery data
automatically. You just have to make sure that you use Vantage processes in
your business. The analysis of late delivery is stated in Epicor documents
as duedate-deliverydate, but it seems it is actually
promisedate-deliverydate. Promise dates are listed under the po releases.
Therefore, you can change the due date for changing po delivery information
and shceduling, and time phase still shows data that is as accurate as
possible, but the "late" status is still relative to the original promise
date. Using this, we have also become accustomed to using the "confirmed"
flag in po entry to confirm feedback from po delivery from the supplier.

In order to get these to show analytical data, you have to run the process
set, that we schedule to run on every Friday.
The analysis gives us monthly and yearly data, and the ability to chart on
many axes. I know this is only part of what you are looking for, but it has
proven very helpful to us so far.

Hello All! We have been live on Vantage 8.0 since September 2005 but I
am new to the supplier management part of the system. I am trying to
develop a system to track the supplier performance and rate them based
on deliver, quality, price, etc. I see a rating area for where I can
setup codes to give each supplier a rating but it looks like I would
need to do this manually. I want something that I can generate out of
the system without spending hours creating this rating. I want
information in the system to drive this rating.

Does anyone use Vantage to do this produce this kind of report? If so
how are you doing it?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Brad
