Task Agent "derping"

I’m having a problem with E11 (2022.2.11) task agent falling over with no messages or errors. It’s been suggested that I create multiple task agents for our production database. My Epicor gut says ‘no’, but I can’t find anything to back that up. If one task agent is falling over, my thought is that all will fall over due to same reason and I’ve seen ugly behavior with multiple task agents.
I don’t find any topics on this in epi-users for several years, so maybe there’s a fix to TA dying unexpectedly that I have missed. Thoughts or suggestions?

In production I always follow the wisdom of @aidacra and have a separate appserver that only runs three task agents and have not had issues for years.
