We have tooling that is used to create parts and each tool has to be maintained after X amount of uses, is there anything out of the box in Epicor that can be used to track each time the tool is used ( tool would be a resource under an operation on a job ).

Yes the use of resources is tracked in LaborDtl tables. If your JobOper is set to “Time and Quantity” the tooling users should clock in and out of the operation when they start/finish working on it. If it’s set to “Quantity Only” they can use Report Quantity on the operation. For backflushing it should be logged automatically when the next Operation is marked complete.
