Unable to enter release in sales order entery

We are on 8.03.409C and I don't recall if it is this version or a slightly earlier one...Issues with adding/changing/deleting etc in sales order....Sometimes you had to make sure you highlight the part number/line in the tree on the left to get items previously grayed out and sometimes you actually had to click in the record selector box on the actual line or release etc...Try all your options to see if you can add a release.

Subject: [Vantage] Unable to enter release in sales order entery

Good morning.

Can anyone help me figure out why I'm unable to enter a new 300 piece
release on a sales order? When I go to new, the "New release" field is
grayed out while every other new field is available to use.

There are 1750 pieces available to release from based on the quantity on
the sales order line. We are on version 8.03.408B.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If there is any
information that I haven't provided that would be helpful, please let me
know.

Thank you,

Amy

Good Day Amy:

Before you can make changes you have to uncheck "Order Finalized" on
the Summary screen?

Goo Day Amy:

My Mistake. It is "Ready to Process" on the header screen that
needs to be unchecked.

The other field in my previous email was a custom ( UDF) Field.

Sun is on 9.05.601B SQL-Unidata since 11/29/10
Testing 9.05.605 Scheduled about 8/13/11
Sun was previously on M2K (Manage-2000) 7.0 SP 5 (Informix)

Hi, Len.

Thank you for the suggestion. I'm wondering if the "Ready to Process" box is not available in version 8 because I'm unable to locate it?

Amy
