Question regarding using unit of measure with serial tracking turned on
We have a part part that uses .4 of a child part. When we enter Qty / parent as .4 in quote entry for the child. Costing worksheet rounds up to the cost of 1 piece per parent
Serial tracking doesn’t allow the use of decimals in uom so I can’t go down that rabbit hole

Serial Numbers are basically lot tracking with a fixed quantity of 1. Maybe you should use lot tracking instead of serial numbers for this part since that’s not required to be a single unit?
Sorry I should have been more clear – we don’t use serial tracking for this part but use serial tracking on other parts – so uom is set on each with no decimal as a standard
It may be to late for some of this, but we went to EA as a normal UOM, EAS as serialized and EAP as a partial. We have bag labels that are 1 for 5 assemblies that are .02 EAP.
