Updateable BAQ to Updateable Dashboard

Hi,  you have to go on the properties of the grid.  Right click in the tree area on the right of your dashboard.  Try on the general and directly on the grid.  There is a file named updatability and you must check the boxes of updatable fields in the dashboard too....  You check the box prompt for each field you want to be able to update.  Then, you go to action, deploy the dashboard or test the form.

How do you place an updateable BAQ in menu maintenance?  I would assume you can create an updateable dashboard...however, when I attempt to make a dashboard out of my updateable BAQ, it is no long updateable.  Anybody know the answer?

Clear the c:\programdata\epicor folder

Add it as program type Dashboard-Assembly rather than Dashboard-Runtime in menu maintenance.

Also There is also a check box on the dashboard to indicate that it is updateable.  Make sure you check this and then check the "prompt" button for any fields that require user input.

We are on 9.05.700C P64. I build one yesterday and each time I have to remember all the little differences to get it to work.

The Dashboard Assembly item mentioned is one item to get the menu item to work right.

Another is the dashboard itself needs to have the updateable checkbox turned ON and you need to indicate which fields you want to prompt for on the updateability tab under the grid properties.

Finally the dashboard must be deployed and you must find that DLL when setting up the menu item. You cannot just cut and paste the dashboard name into the menu item.

If I get stuck I isolate which step I forgot by testing the BAQ first, then testing the dashboard from the deploy menu. if both of those work then the menu item is messed up.

they are great once you get them working.

I had the dashboard assembly item and I have the updateable tab checked in the grid view...where do you check the dashboard itself as updateable?  It isn't on the "General" tab.  Is it a checkbox or is it hidden in a menu somewhere?
Thanks
