Aaron,

Our WIP Capture post is run weekly on 4.0 so it had been run as of June 25th
on 4.0 and then ran as of the copy of the db which was on 7/2/06 on 6.1.
The only issue that I recall is the same one that we have had previously
when we run it for the first time on the 6.1 copy is that it shows on the
system that it hasn't ran since like 2001.

Jim,
Did someone recently run the WIP capture post routine for the first time.
Accounting is not my strong point, but I think this might cause what you are
seeing. Anyone feel free to correct me?

Karen,
There have been no transactions posted for those since the jobs were
closed
in 1999 - 2003.

They only appeared after we started reviewing them in 6.1, they do not
show
up in 4.0.

Any other ideas?

Thanks.

Were any transactions or adjustments recently posted to those jobs to
clean up the ledgers? Or, is it possible that the jobs were not actually
closed until recently? Print a Production Detail Report in detail (all
boxes checked) and see if any transactions were recently posted. This
would explain a variance.

Subject: [Vantage] Vantage 6.1 MFG-VAR Issue

All,
While doing our testing and pilot of 6.10.536, our Accounting department
has
this issue.
I have searched thru past post but have not found anything that she can
use
to help explain this problem.
I'm hoping someone here with lots of 6.1 accounting experience can help
her.
We have been using Vantage since 1999.

This is how she described the problem to me.
I have completed a month end close as of June, 2006 on our test database
and
the only difference that occurred in the financial statements was
related to
MFG-VAR transactions. On 6.1, it created additional MFG-VAR transactions
that related to jobs that were closed in 1999 through 2002. These
transactions were not on 4.0 for posting. What would cause this to
occur?
Have there been any additional programming changes to this transaction
type
since Vantage 4.0 that would cause this to happen?

Thanks,
Jim Moore
