Vantage 6.10.541 Scheduling Modules

We at ROM rarely if ever build to inventory. All of our products are
custom built to order. Our inside sales will do a "soft" schedule where
an order is scheduled for a week (usually 2 to 4 weeks out). Our
operations scheduling manager then works up the "hard schedule" where
each day is scheduled (usually 2 days out). This guy schedules orders
based on quite a few of the custom parameters. Thus the Vantage
scheduling does not work for us. We built our own using MS Access. I
can give you more detail if it is something that might help you out.

Subject: [Vantage] Vantage 6.10.541 Scheduling Modules

We run Vantage 6.10.541 and are trying to get an idea of how the
scheduling modules/functions are being used by others users.

We manufacture ' custom-designed and built ' machinery parts, unique,
similar to each other but rarely exactly the same.
Does anyone in a similar business use -Finite Scheduling
-Scheduling Board
-Load-leveling
-'What-If' Scheduling ?

Our recollection is, per EPCOR, that most companies that best utilize
the scheduling functions do not have a lot of customization in their
products.

Thanks,
Bill J.
