Vantage CRM

I received an outside request for "a Vantage customer using CRM in a
marketing capacity".

Is anyone out there happy with the concept who would be willing to chat
about it?

Thanks!

We have recently purchased and will be installing the Vantage CRM
module into our Vantage 5.2 database. Currently we are using ACT as
our contact manager, and CRM will be replacing ACT for us. I am
looking for information on transitioning from ACT to Vantage CRM,
what issues were involved, did you import ACT data into Vantage,
etc. Any ideas, kudos, frustrations with using CRM in general would
also be appreciated. On a related note, we have also purchased
Customer Connect, as a method for our travelling sales people to
access Vantage while on the road. Any info on this product would
also be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

I am also curious. Our archaic version of ACT is in it's death throws. It
has 10,000 records and it just can't handle it.

Change is tough here. It took an act of God to get us off of dBase X.X home
grown junk. I would like our sales force to also use Vantage CRM, but only
if it does what we need.

Sorry this is a little late, I have been off.
Before you install the CRM module you might want to take the class. There is
alot of setup that needs to be done as soon as you install the module. We
have most of the modules, so when I installed CRM, I had to setup
Territories, Tasks, Sales Force, and a few other parameters just to make the
Quoting module work again. The CRM is very integrated with Quotes and
Orders.

You can import contacts in the .CSV format. It works pretty slick. I have
been practicing importing and exporting to Outlook contacts. The key is to
decide how the fields will import/export. In other words, what field in
your contacts matches what field in Vantage. It's something you will want
to be consistent on.
I hope this helps.
