Vantage Sales $$

Hi Lauren,

You can use Crystal Reports to extract the Reps from the RepList field.
Here is a sample to get the first Rep code in the list:

stringvar array Reps;

numbervar NumReps;

stringvar RepCode;

Reps := split({InvcHead.SalesRepList},"~");

if ubound(Reps) > 0 then

Rep := Reps[1]

else

Rep := ""

;

Hth,

Linda

Original message:

Is there a field anywhere in Vantage that gives Sales $$ by Sales Rep? I
know there is a field on the Customer Tracker showing this information
by customer, but it is not reportable. I cannot get to this field
through Crystal Reports. I am trying not to have to pull all shipments
and calculate.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thank You,

Did you try the commission report? It is the only one that lets you
choose by Sales Rep.

Jim

We actually do not use the sales commission report because it does not
calculate correctly. We are on 8.03.305k and the commission report pulls
sales $$ in by Invoice and we pay commissions on payments not invoices.
Plus, the commission report is not a Crystal report, so I cannot look at
the logic behind the scenes. I can do the calculation for sales by rep,
but it would be helpful if there was some sort of summarized sales field
to pull from.

In Workforce Entry can't you just change the commissions from

We already have Payment selected for each Sales Rep. The commission
report, as written is incorrect. Tech support gave us the SCR number,
but they do not have a release date for the fix yet.

has anyone written a Crystal report for the Sales Commissions? It is
a little tricky of a report because all the salesmen are in one field
so if you spit them out, you can't really group them and sum their
commission dollars. If someone has written something, i would be
interested in seeing it.
