Vantage server chokes/slows on clocking in/out starting/ending l

We had this problem once in 9.05.702. It was due to some people just logging out and not clocking out, so the time clocked in was getting really high. After making sure everyone clocked out and logged out the issue was resolved.

Subject: [Vantage] Vantage server chokes/slows on clocking in/out starting/ending labor activity periodically - 8.03

Has anyone else had an issue where their server will slow to a crawl when clocking in/out or starting/ending a labor activity? Once or twice a month, something happens when everyone starts clocking out / ending labor activity at the end of the day, the server will appear to "hang" and it takes 4-5 minutes to end a labor activity. When this happens, most of my users will just give up and we will write a labor edit for them the next day. Strange thing is, after about 10-20 minutes or so, the server seems to come back to life and everything is good again. I know a repercussion of it is I'll have some people who get clocked in "twice" because they think the Vantage client crashed and they restart and try again. I'm just not sure what causes it or what to look for or check when this happens. Anybody else ever have a similar problem? We are 8.03.406. Thanks in advance!
