Update : Well, it's been a hectic week, & I just got back to working
with Service Connect 8.1 yesterday. Found out that the 'different
look' for the product was really a problem with Windows 2003
Enterprise R2 operating system !! The version of MMC that comes with
that OS has several problems, & one glaring one is how it renders some
consoles......SC8.1 being one of them. I had to run 'mmc.exe' by
itself to get a blank MMC console, THEN manually ADD the Service
Connect Admin snap-in. Afterwards, things look just like they did in
the training class.

We have Service Connect on its own server, primarily because I was
hesitant to add more workload to our production server, AND I wanted a
system I could do Service Connect development work on without risking
production throughput.

I'll add more updates as we go, but things look promising so far...

It may be located here or not, but has there been information posted on
how many people are actually running or deep in the testing phase of
8.03. We are hearing that less then 10 installations are on this
version currently. I know it has been recent since they released, but
I would like to get some pro's and con's on this. Also, has anyone on
8.03 used service connect to transfer data into vantage from another
system. Wondering what issues they have come up with. We had a heck
of a time getting service connect to even work with the previous 8.0
and are worried about the affects of 8.03.
