VBForm configuration question

I did verify just to check that but it is not pulling from a DBF file it is
pulling directly from the tables

In CR did you re-verify the DB? I think there is where it picks up the
format of the user fields from the DBF file.

I have a question about using the Vbforms in Vantage. I added two fields to
the OrderDTL table, CHAR-FIELD_1 and _2. I set both to lengths of 30. When
you type information into these fields the info is stored fine. However
when I run a crystal report to pull from these fields it only shows a length
of 8 which was the default before I changed it. Does anyone have any
experience with the Vbforms and why Crystal would have a problem recognizing
the 30 length? Oh and we are on 3.0, older than dirt with the new versions
in the box on the shelf but management says to leave it alone.

Thanks,

Hi again everyone!

For some odd reason our customized Crystal poform is displaying a gray background on everything below the page header. I have reset and reverified the form. No luck. The weird thing is, it displays, previews, and prints just fine on my computer, but on everyone else's it displays, previews, and prints with the gray background. My computer has Crystal on it, whereas no one else's does. I have also cleaned out the vntgwrk folder on each workstation, but still no luck.

Any ideas gang?

~Wendy

Are all the pertinent DLL files from your PC the same as the ones in the Vantage/DLL folder (the ones users would be using)? There are previous message threads concerning which ones are critical to be the same. I renamed the ones in the DLL folder and copied there from my CR development PC and things straightened out pretty quickly although in a couple cases I also copied them to the user's Windows folder (Win-98).

in the box on the shelf but management says to leave it alone.
