Hi All,

We have an extensive customization to the Customer Entry Form, including the Ship To details tab. It is located under Sales Management->Order Management->Setup, with menu Id OMMT1110.

In Order Entry, on the Ship To field there is a Right-Click "Open With...->Customer Ship To Entry" menu item, which when traced it looks like it calls the menu item above, OMMT1110.

The problem is it loads a Ship To Maintenance Form (App.CustomerEntry.ShipToEntryForm) not the Customer Entry form we customized. This form can also be customized, but the customization is not loaded. This form has many fields we do not want to be available to our users.

It looks like the Epicor.Mfg.UI.CustomerEntry.dll loads the form based on whether or not a customer has been selected. When there is not a customer Id a Customer Maintenance Form loads, and when the customer is selected the Ship To Maintenance form loads.

Is there a way to remove/disable the Open With menu item? We tried setting the "Like" extended property to an empty value on OrderHed.ShipToNum column, but the menu item is still displayed.

Thanks in advance,

Ray
Use Context Menu maintenance, in System-> Utils and find what the Like item
in that field is, then set the correct MENU for it.
Erm.. that sounds confusing, hopefully you figure out what I meant,
otherwise, shoot me back and I'll try to re-explain.

Hi Jose,
That's part of the problem; there is not a context menu item for OrderHed.ShipToNum. It looks like this context menu is built into the form and is not part of the data driven menu items.

Do you know where the context menu items are stored in Sql Server?

Thanks,

Ray

First, add it as a menu item under processes, with a program of
Epicor.Mfg.UI.CustomerEntry.dll, and select your customization there.
Then, add the link in Process Calling Maintenance (sys mgmt. ->
utilities menu). Called process is Epicor.Mfg.UI.CustomerEntry, Called
From is Epicor.Mfg.UI.SalesOrderEntry, and the menu item is the one you
just created with your customization.

Hi All,

We have an extensive customization to the Customer Entry Form, including

In Order Entry, on the Ship To field there is a Right-Click "Open

Is there a way to remove/disable the Open With menu item? We tried

OrderHed.ShipToNum column, but the menu item is still displayed.

Thanks in advance,

Ray

Hi Brian,
The form "App.CustomerEntry.ShipToEntryForm" is only available through the CustomerEntry BO. I can customize it, but I can only select a "CustomerEntry" customization when creating the menu item. There's no way to tell CustomerEntry to use the customization for the ShipToEntryForm.

To reproduce the issue (in developer mode):
1. Open Order Entry and select an existing order where the shipto Id is populated.
2. Right-Click the field and select "Open
> With...->Customer Ship To Entry"
3. Note App.CustomerEntry.ShipToEntryForm opens.
4. Customize the form and save it.

I have foud no way to open that form using the new customization.

Thanks for the reply.
