I received earlier today an email message that was apparently spawned by the
W32/Bugbear.B@MM Internet worm. This virus was recently propagated across
the Internet (see http://vil.mcafee.com/dispVirus.asp?virus_k=100358). My
system was not infected because our network administrator does an excellent
job of keeping our McAfee anti-virus updated. However, I still wanted to
let everyone in this forum know that I had received this message because it
referenced both Decorated.com and Misha1.net. Both of these companies are
probably recognizable by most members of this forum. It is unlikely that
either of these companies was the true source of the message, but rather
that both of these addresses were probably forged. The true source was
likely yet another party that has both Decorated.com and Misha1.net in his
or her address book, hence this alert.

Just another reason to filter *.exe, *.scr, *.pif, *.bat, *.cmd and any
script attachments at the edge of your network. If your email server or
firewall can't do this before the attachments hit your users' desktops,
it's only a matter time before a clueless user (cluser, luser?) opens an
attachment before you've deployed an AV def update. Desktop AV is the
last line of defense. Firewall and server are the first and second.
