Warehouse Part Cost Differences

Interestingly enough, release 6.10 due out at the end of this week
includes this enhancement. We are putting that in place before we
get going.

<Epicor> Unique price lists PER WAREHOUSE You've got warehouses in
Boston, St. Louis, San Jose and Singapore. Part pricing is dependent
on which warehouse ships the part. Vantage 6.10 enables you to assign
a price list to a specific warehouse; a group of warehouses; or ALL
warehouses!</Epicor>

Being new to Vantage (not yet implemented 6.1) I am wondering if you
can have the same part in two different warehouses/bins and have two
different prices on them without having to have a different part
number?

TIA,
~ Ross
You can have the same part number in different places in different warehouses but not with different cost....

We use lot costing, so the inventory cost is determined by lot. We
have parts in the same bins or different bins with different costs
because they manufactured on different jobs or purchased on different
P.O.'s. The lot drives the inventory cost of the part.

Could you always issue by lot cost? I guess I never noticed that .. we do everything by average costing so I use lot cost for reference but not for COS
