What kind of private conversations are people having with EpicCare? 🤣

I’ve seen this before but I just felt like asking today - what is this?

I mean, I wasn’t expecting that the normal conversations I have in EpicCare would be tweeted or whatever the kids do these days.

So what do you put here? “I secretly love Backstreet Boys - don’t tell!”

Perhaps API keys or credentials or the like?

That would make a lot of sense…APIs, credentials, sensitive financial documents, HCM/SSN info. Good catch.

Hopefully the EpicCare site isn’t running CrowdStrike.

Looks like you can edit it later, so I can see this as a possibility. But then here - assuming this is the same field - it says only I can see it.

Ha, so on that note, I joked a while back that I always seem to have a kid or something around that time. Well, here we go again. Kid #3 is due in March (though February is more realistic). Yeah I know, May <> March. But I’m not going to leave for a week with a 2-month-old at home. So I’ll miss it yet again.

hmmm… that might be bad UX. It seems plausible that note is supposed to be for “My notes” only.

I just checked with support, and received the following answer:

The Private and Confidential information field and the Private Attachments checkbox will mark an attachment as “private” to the customer. The main reason to use these fields is that 30 days after the case closes, the text in the field and attachments while Private Attachments is checked will be deleted. The release notes and an article will be forthcoming on these changes.

Thank you, @timshuwy

So support cannot see the attachment?

I believe that they can… but it will be deleted later.

If you dont have anything to say that is private, you could always post dad Jokes… such as:
Question: “What’s the difference between a duck?”
Answer: “one leg is both the same”
