I may have an even simpler, and more secure solution which offers flexibility.
Just add a checkbox on the link or doc type (both?) 
where we could choose whether it is opened via browser or agent.

Sorry if this is not the correct place to ask… but here goes.
The view option is missing for all .msg *outlook files for us… PDF’s open as expected with View but not .msg… end goal is to just clieck view and have it open in outlook like classic… but as of now we can only download to open… anyone have ideas or where to point me to get this working?
