âBeing useful is almost like being lovedâŠâ
Years of therapy right thereâŠ
Kinda made me sad to hear it framed in this way
âwhen youâre always the one who knows what to do people stop asking if youâre okay they just assume you are they assume the person who fixes things is fine that the person who stays calm doesnât need anyone to stay calm for themâ
Well⊠fâŠ@

Listen here @klincecum imma need you to stop sharing crap like this. I donât have the time or the crayons to unpack this ![]()
Oy
â⊠the more you fix things, the more you get handedâŠâ
Kind of like my ending up our Epicor administrator. ![]()
Thatâs called the competency trap, and itâs universal.
ugh - canât quite stand these AI slop videos ![]()
I better get used to it..
These are mostly real scripts read by AI, so not as bad.
Really? It uses phrasing like an AI and not a human ![]()
ââŠhe doesnât answer the phone on the weekendsâŠâ
People answer the phone during the week??
Like certain people we know, they probably feed it into AI to ummm⊠touch it up.
â ok that was supposed to be
but :roasted_sweet_potato: is pretty funny ![]()
Posting for a friendâŠ
âor like being an operations consultant the week of go-live when everyone suddenly discovers that what youâve been telling them for the last year or so was actually trueâŠâ
Itâs not limited to the week of go-live. You can only advise, tell or warn people so many timesâŠand then

Wow.
Just Wow.

I feel seen. Wow also.
Any other Gen Zâs here? ![]()
In my family (me, wife, and 3 kids born to us) we span FIVE generations.
- Me: Gen X
- Wife: Millennial (Gen Y)
- [no Zoomers]
- 2 oldest kids: Gen alpha
- Youngest kid: Gen beta
The generation thing is getting stupid - itâs like a new âgenerationâ is every 5 years now.
Sometimes I feel like that too but then I look at âgenerationâ date ranges and theyâre all basically 15 years.
Itâs just that 15 years started feeling like 5 years at some point.
Then I feel old.
