We also have had nothing but problems with Vantage 5.0. I had to increase the -L to 100,000 to get the data conversions to work, then nothing internally would work correctly. Internal security could only be fixed by completely removing and re-installing ALL user profiles. Job entry doesn't work. Sales Order entry doesn't work, Product configurator pulls ALL process and materials listed in the configurator through for any part entered, and the list goes on.
We have basically decided that we are not moving to Vantage 5.0 until all of the bugs are fixed. We are not happy.

Ok, I think I am about ready to EXPLODE!!!!!!!!!!, I need to know if anyone

nothing wrong with our database and 1 thing that added to our problem is the

4. This time they fixed schema changes problem and application problem,
however we got a new problem now. shared memory error. " SERVER: Unable to
create shared memory sharemem.g.epic50.vantage.db.vantage 5, error 1455
(1719) and another error. " Error in startup of database
localhost:20931:epic50. Message: 12:13:53 BROKER:**This process terminated
with exit code 1. (8619).
We made sure that everything was turned off opened services and turned most
of the application off except for progress 91A, doubled the size of virtual
memory and we have a lot of HD space but they still can't help me. I called
progress helpdesk person but they haven't been able to help me as well and I
feel like a ball that's been passing around. Vantage claimed it's our server
but how come we are able to run vantage 4.0 and not vantage 5? Last
conversation I had with vantage help desk person was He's gonna have me run
progress90B with vantage 5.0. Isn't this CRAZY OR WHAT??? THIS IS DRIVING ME
NUTZ and it's making me LOOK BAD TO MY BOSS AND TO MY CO WORKERS. I AM SO
FRUSTRATED!!!!! HELP! HELP! HELP! GAWD HELP ME! :-(
