Try running the instOCX.exe found in the Vantage\OCX directory. I had to
for all 120 or so Vantage client installs when we went to 5.2.

If IE 6.0 is not installed it might be worth trying. I don't recall this
specific issue but right after going to 5.2 we had a bunch of strange ones
here and there that upgrading to IE 6.0 helped. Something to do with a
bunch of Win98 internal routines (like Active X) that it updated or at least
re-registered.. -Todd C.

Subject: [Vantage] 5.2 and 9.1D error

I have a Windows 98 machine that once logged into Vantage, I recieve the
following errors:

"Specified Active X control is not registered or the .ocx file was moved
from where it was registered. (6087)."

"Invalid component-handle referenced while processing method/statement:
ListCount."

"UserIDChanged vntgmenu.w (5884)."

I have uninstalled Progress, updated Windows 98, ran the unregocx and
vcopydll.exe on the workstations but they are all working just fine.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
