I have been trying to convert 6.1 data over to 8.0 and have had
limited success due to the difference in architecture of Vantage (.net
technology). My biggest problem is with the work centers in 6.1 that
have become resources in 8.0. I have over 15,000 BOMs and each would
have to be redone.
I would like to speak to someone who has done this successfully for
some hints at the "dos and don'ts". Has anyone successfully converted
and is now running 8.803 live from converted 6.1 data?
(My database is about 5GB and we use Vantage quite extensively for job
costing.)
