On other screens in the past I had set some actions “on initialize†to force a value into a screen. I was hoping to force zero into the Qty, which when done manually should issue an error message, so figured it might in this case too on exit if they forgot to enter something. A VB Form would not have done anything like this for me.
I remember now seeing that limited list of forms. Bummer. Would be easy in 8.x or 9 but the decision to freeze on 6.10 was made way above my pay grade.
Thanks,

In 6.10 a few main screens are 'customizable', as well as the use of VB Forms as has been mentioned here in the replies.
For example, in Part Maintenance, right click somewhere in the 'grey-space' and 'customize' should be an option in the 'fly-out'. You can add 'input' fields, etc. that tie-back to the 'Number01, Character01, etc..' DB fields for the applicable table.
However, I don't know that you can accomplish your specific task.
You may be able to put a 'notification' label near the Qnty field, add a button that runs a program forcing the Qnty to zero, etc. In the later versions, as I'm sure you've seen on this message board, you would have a better chance , maybe using the 'pre-' or 'post-' processing code customizations.
According to 6.10 'help', the screens that are customizable:
Order, Quote, Job, Customer, vendor, part

I may be spacing or just confusing 6.10 with things I saw for 8.x but I was pretty sure there is a way to do limited screen customization in 6.10. In the security settings there is a check box for "Customization Privileges" but I can't find where to go into customization mode. I vaguely recall some non-intuitive "trick" or check box somewhere to activate it under "File" on the menu bar. If there really is some customization in 6.10 a pointer in the right direction would really be appreciated.
Not sure if it is possible but the reason I would like to use it is to see if I can change the default content of the qty shipped on a pack slip line to zero rather than the order line qty. We ship a lot of partials and too often accidentally indicate shipping the whole qty.
Thanks,
