I’m coming from Vantage 5 to Epicor Kinetic and having issues printing receiving labels/tags to be 6 per page on a 8.5X11 piece of paper…How can I do this? Do i need to create a report?
What is it you want? Do you want the labels like that on an 8.5x11 or do you want a 4x6 label to come out?
We just did a vantage 6 to kinetic upgrade, wild transition with resource groups and UOM conversions among other things.
We are in the process of the upgrade now and having to create all these reports from scratch is KILLER! I work in HR–no IT background and it’s been painful trying to learn BAQ…
I’m trying to have it print out in the attached format (second page). the first page is how it currently prints out using tags.
Sample Label.pdf (66.4 KB)
So is this post asking for help to re-format the report so that it prints like the second page on the PDF you attached?
Yes I don’t even know where to start for reformatting a report.
You’re going to need someone who knows how to edit the SSRS reports and manipulate Epicor Report Styles possible also the Report Data Definitions too uplift your reports.
If you don’t know that, this report is a difficult one to learn the basics on and then reformat it…
You should look into the training sessions that Epicor offers on SSRS reports so you can understand that objectively and then you can move into actually doing it on canned reports like this.
For now, I feel like given the background you gave me on your company and the minimal experience you have with SSRS it’d be best to work through your project manager to schedule a consultant to modify the form for you.
@bblauwkamp what method were you printing these in vantage… Were you using Bartender?
You mention labels/tags where are you printing this from receipt entry, or cycle count?
hi! We don’t use bartender for them. We use a normal computer printer. We were trying to print the form from receipt entry.
SSRS it is then. If you do have bartender it may be an easier route from the design perspective. It is possible to setup an SSRS report using columns…
Here’s a few links… that might help you. They may not give you all the information, but. As @utaylor metioned look at the training guides/help for the simple stuff to familiarize yourself, then progressivly get to harder and harder reports.
that might work!! can you send me this BAQ report?
