Adding join between JobAsmbl and Part in Report Builder

Sorry. Attachments and screen shots are not supported by the YahooGroup system (at least for this group).

Feel free to email me off-list at caugheyt@...<mailto:caugheyt@...> .

I'll try to explain this better and I've attached some screen shots to explain what I'm writing. On the Menu Bar at the top of Report Builder, I select Database. Then within Database, I select Joins. My Join to Table is "Part". When I click on the "New Field Pair", Job Asmbl is not one of the choices available to me. Is there any way to get around this? See my attachment.

Thanks,

Debbie Smith

Might need more info but I do know that in the past whenever dealing with JobAsmbl table I have had to be very careful about either linking the correct assembly level OR (more often if dealing with costing) filter for only level zero. When you say you can't see JobAsmbl to add the link I am not sure I understand if you are trying to change the existing link or create an entirely new one. I have also seen rare cases where I had to add a new link with an alias name, change all report references to the aliased table name (Part2 ?) and then remove the first instance. Sometimes even change the alias table back to the standard name (usually the references will follow).

Subject: [Vantage] Adding join between JobAsmbl and Part in Report Builder

Hi Everyone,

Can anyone help, please!!!

I'm working on a Report Builder report in Vantage 6.1. With our
current joins, we don't get all of the data for "time pour". I'm
tring to replace JobHead to Part with JobAsmbl to Part. What happens
is that I can't see JobAsmbl to add the link.

We have a report with the following links:
JobOper to JobAsmbl
JobOper to JobOper_Setup
JobAsmbl to JobHead
JobHead to JobProd
JobHead to Part
JobProd to OrderHed
OrderHed to Customer

They are all outer joins.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this or what is causing this?

Thanks,

Debbie Smith
