Adding new calculated fields to a Kinetic dashboard

I have added 2 calculated fields to my BAQ, When I try to preview my dashboard before I deploy I see all the fields I have added. I have made them visible.

After I deploy the dashboard in Kinetic, Close out of Epicor and back on then go to the main menu and open the dashboard to test. The new fields do not show. Am I missing something?

Felix, is this a Kinetic or Classic dashboard? And are you using Application Studio or the classic Dashboard designer?

I appreciate you responding. This is a Kinetic dashboard. I am using the classic dashboard designer to deploy.(Selecting the application option)

Because this is a Kinetic app, you will need to go into Application Studio and either modify an existing custom layer or create a new custom layer. (Not sure if you are still on 2023.1 or if you’re now on 2023.2, but in 2023.1, it seemed that I had to do that for every existing custom layer that existed/was on the menu.)

Then you will need to add the two calculated fields to the data view that corresponds to that BAQ (if they are not already showing there), and then add them to the grid in Data > Grid Model > Columns. Once you can see the two columns with data when previewing the layer, then you will need to Publish the layer (equivalent to the deploy function in Classic) for the changes to be available to everyone.

If it’s a new layer, you will then need to go into Menu Maintenance (Kinetic version) and add that layer to the list of applied customizations in order for the columns to show with data for users.
