On 10.2.200 I have a couple of users who are having some issues drag & dropping attachments from Outlook. It works with some emails / attachments, but not others. I drag it over, and it just does nothing. No spinning cursor, no error message, just nothing happens.
–Some attachments work in the same order with the issue, some don’t.
–I had the user forward the email to me, and I was able to drag & drop it to the same order.
–I had the user forward the email to herself, and it still didn’t work.
Additional: The user was upgraded to Win11 on Tuesday, and the issue started Wednesday. No issues on Tuesday, apparently.
I think it’s related to the attachment itself, but I have no idea where to start troubleshooting this. Any advice?
If it’s an attachment inside an email it doesn’t always work to drag & drop. Have you tried to have them drag it to desktop first then into Epicor to see if that works?
We are having the same issue. Currently running the 2022.2.13.
So far it has been randomly some users with some files are having issues dragin an dropin from outlook 365. I is solved by saving file / email into their computers and then draging from there.
Unfortunately, due to the huge customization we have in the Project Entry module we are not able to use the Kinetic UI yet… I mean, this seems to be a random issue and is “fixed” by dragging the attachment to, for example computer desktop and the dragging into Epicor from that location… but users are starting to get frustrated…
BTW we are using Outlook (classic) from office 365
Our users are also very upset with the randomly required extra steps.
We have tested with emails with attachments and without attachments. Still a random issue. Weirdest thing is that same email, is being properly uploaded by some users and one or two are having issues and need to drag it to their desktop and then drag it into Kinetic from there. There have tines also in which all users have problems dragging files, all of them with different emails.
I used to think about an outlook issue not “downloadling” the whole email but after opening the email, not just previewing it, the problems still there.
The test I’m missing, related to Outlook, is to close outlook and then opening it again. Will keep you posted.
Any other suggestion will be also really really appreciated.
