Does anyone know where the save file location is stored when uploading attachments in the Maintenance screens such as Supplier Maintenance? We do have document management also and do not have the file system enabled in company config. I’m looking at where the attachments are saved once attached in Epicor or does it retrieve it from its original location wherever it was uploaded from?

Epicor itself adds for us: 10\<TableName>\ to the folders. In E9 it was Live\<TableName>\
Perhaps check the root? We use service connect to attach signed invoices as they are emailed back. We had to place a copy into the 10\InvcHead\ folder so that the attachment could be viewed.

I checked in Company Config. under the Attachments for E9 but we do not have anything enabled or a URL set up. Seems odd that if it is not enabled, we shouldn’t be able to upload attachments but we can. We are adding attachments through the attachment icon and not dragging it into the screen.

I don’t believe EPICOR stores attachments into the DB, it is just a link for the file locations.
So my C:\TEMP is different from your C:\TEMP
We store our documents on a shared server drive, everyone must have the same mapped drive.

Good point Sarah, You also have to set up document types and such, not sure I remember how anymore, but I did write some code to verify that there was an attachment connected to an Invoice before we allowed it to be posted. Here is the code just in case it helps find the attachments:
Ice.Tables.XFileAttch XFileAttch;
Ice.Tables.XFileRef XFileRef;
callContextBpmData.Checkbox01 = false;
foreach (var ttInvcHead_Recs in(from ttInvcHead_Row in ttInvcHead
select ttInvcHead_Row))
{
var ttInvcHeadRow = ttInvcHead_Recs;
foreach (var XFileAttch_Recs in (from XFileAttch_Row in Db.XFileAttch
where XFileAttch_Row.Key1 == SqlFunctions.StringConvert((double)ttInvcHeadRow.InvoiceNum).Trim()
&& (string.Compare(XFileAttch_Row.RelatedToFile,"InvcHead",true)==0)
select XFileAttch_Row))
{
XFileAttch = XFileAttch_Recs;
if (XFileAttch != null)
{
var XFileRef_Recs = (from XFileRef_Row in Db.XFileRef
where XFileRef_Row.Company == Session.CompanyID
&& XFileRef_Row.XFileRefNum == XFileAttch.XFileRefNum
&& (string.Compare(XFileRef_Row.DocTypeID,"SIGNPACK",true)==0)
select XFileRef_Row).FirstOrDefault();
{
XFileRef = XFileRef_Recs;
if (XFileRef != null)
{
callContextBpmData.Checkbox01 = true;
}
}
}
}
}

On 9.05.702A it is storing a link to where the file resides when attached. The location is saved into the "XFileRef" table. We recently had to update all of our attachments to our purchase orders to point to a new folder so I had created an updateable BAQ to do this. The 2 tables used were XFileAttch and XFileRef
