Auto Receive Into Inventory

What version are you on Vic (and SQL or Progress)?

Haven't seen these behavior on 8.03.405a progress in 2 years live (although I am aware of the controls: Just not useful in our model so I've never explored).

Just upgraded to 409a though this weekend (and hoping this isn't some new bug or 'feature' we'll have to work around).

Unclear from your email if you EVER want certain parts auto received. If not, it seems a BPM could solve your problem. If yes (or sometimes), maybe a simple $h!t catcher BAQ report run daily could catch any 'bad' jobs created in time to edit before release?

Starting with a report might speed any learning curve of what is going on and lead to a more proactive solution (or SCR if you think it's a bug).

Subject: [Vantage] Auto Receive Into Inventory

Â
On Job Tracker/Entry, under Details and Operations there is the "Auto
Receive Into Inventory" checkbox.

Usually this should only be set on the final op if you want to use it.

Somewhere along the line OpSeq# 50 (out of 80) was flagged as "Auto
Receive".

Looking on the back end data I see the "AutoRecOpr" field in a few
tables such as ECORev, PartRev and JobAsmbl. This field is an integer
value that has the OprSeq# to "Auto Receive".

Everywhere I look I don't see it maintainable. When we create a job for
a certain part "Widget123" this checkbox is auto-enabled and if the guys
don't see it when setting up the job then the part erroneously gets
received into inventory.

I also see the ability to chance it on the Engineering Workbench when
you check out a part. But it's not checked on there either. These
parts are make-to-stock.

Where/How can I fix this so this doesn't happen?

Thank you in advance!
